British poker whizz Richard Haile has scooped a whopping £34,000 after coming third in the Gala Casino British Poker Tour.
Richard, landlord at the King's Head pub in Louth, beat off competition from more han 200 professional poker players to compete in the glittering live poker final in Bristol on Sunday.
Richard said: "I am over the moon and now looking forward to playing in the European poker tour in January."
His partner Sharon Davies said: "It is absolutely fantastic and although it has been a lot of hard work, dedication and late nights for him, it was all worth it in the end."
Live coverage of the grand final was beamed around the world via the internet showing Richard as one of only nine skilled poker players from the poker community who made it through.
As part of his prize, the Louth landlord has also won an all-expenses paid trip to take part in the European poker tour next year.
The Gala Casinos British Poker Tour is described as 'the nation's finest poker tour, taking in six regional festivals hosted in friendly and hospitable Gala Casinos.' Richard played in every single leg of the tour which began in Edinburgh back in January.
Sharon concluded: "We would like to thank all our staff and customers at the King's Head who have been so supportive to Richard throughout."
